More often, the challenge emerges when what has worked before begins to compete with what is required now.
My approach to leadership coaching grew from the recognition that meaningful development requires more than strategy, performance, or another set of tools. It requires the space to examine how we think, respond, decide, relate, and lead, particularly when responsibility is high and the answers are not obvious.
These are not always problems to solve. Sometimes, they are narratives to examine.
Grounded in nearly three decades of leadership experience, my methodology integrates behavioral science, psychology, somatic practice, adult learning, and organizational performance. At its foundation is a principle that has remained constant throughout my career: meet people where they are, without assuming that is where they need to remain.
This means understanding the experiences, environments, responsibilities, and patterns that inform how a person leads before deciding what needs to change. The objective is not to prescribe a new version of leadership, but to create the conditions for more deliberate decisions about what remains useful, what requires reconsideration, and what comes next.
This is where Which Narrative™ and The Leadership Loft meet: at the intersection of commitment and conviction, when two stories are competing for authority over the narrative.
Leadership is rarely challenged by a lack of capability.
The Work
I provide advisory, coaching, and training engagements for accomplished individuals and organizations navigating complex decisions, significant responsibility, and sustained demands. The work strengthens decision-making, expands leadership capacity, and supports greater clarity, precision, and consistency under pressure.
Together, we examine what may be influencing performance beneath the surface, including patterns, competing priorities, internal demands, and ways of operating that may no longer serve the circumstances at hand. That insight is then translated into practical, sustainable change that can be applied where it matters most.
Why It Matters
Capability does not make anyone immune to the effects of sustained responsibility. Over time, pressure can narrow perspective, reinforce familiar patterns, and make it more difficult to distinguish between what is necessary, what is expected, and what has simply become habitual.
The ability to recognize those distinctions matters. It influences the quality of decisions, the use of authority, the environments leaders create, and the demands they continue to carry.
The goal is not to eliminate pressure. It is to ensure that pressure does not become the primary author of how you lead.
Meet Traci Sharpe
I am a leadership advisor, coach, somatic practitioner, and human performance improvement professional with nearly three decades of experience spanning executive leadership, healthcare, behavioral health, organizational performance, and civilian and military environments.
My career has included serving as Executive Program Director of a community-based residential and independent living organization; leading the development of an integrated behavioral health and prevention training initiative for the United States Marine Corps, designed to consolidate mandatory training requirements and reduce the training burden on Marines; and serving as Director of Training and Clinical Services at RAINN.
My experience also includes federal contract oversight and human-subjects research, along with advisory work across the Match Group portfolio, Netflix writers’ rooms, Super Bowl LVII, and the Phoenix Open. These environments have required me to work at the intersection of leadership, human behavior, safety, performance, and organizational culture, often where the stakes, responsibilities, and consequences are significant.
Today, through Which Narrative™ and its leadership practice, The Leadership Loft, I work with accomplished individuals and organizations navigating complex decisions, sustained demands, and significant responsibility. My work draws on the breadth of my professional experience to help clients examine what is influencing how they think, decide, relate, and lead, particularly when familiar ways of operating are no longer sufficient for what the circumstances require.
The work is not about prescribing a particular way to lead. It is about creating the conditions for greater discernment, stronger capacity, and more deliberate choices about what to carry forward, what to reconsider, and what the next season of leadership requires.
